Don’t Drink Alcohol … Bet

If you prefer to indulge in an alcoholic beverage every so often, leave your money at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar betting house. I’m serious. Empty your billfold, your wallet, and leave all cash, credit cards and cheques at home. Take just the money you are planning to use on beverages, tipping and whatever pocket coins you plan on loosing and leave the remainder behind.
Contemptuous? Not really. Practical really. You might well experience a win after a boozy night out with your friends and be lucky enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that tale because it is as brief as it gets if you continually drink and bet. The 2 simply do not mix.
Keeping your cash at home is a little drastic, however defensive actions for drastic behavior is relative and necessary. If you compete to win, then do not drink and play. If you can manage to throw away your cash without a worry, then drink all the no charge booze your gut can handle, but do not take debit cards and cheques to toss into the combination of going after losses after your drunk as a skunk brain squanders all the cash!
